Helping You Understand Your Bail Process

In order to obtain your release from jail and police custody, you will have to complete the bail process with the assistance of a bail bondsman.  During the bail process, a bail hearing will be set and the judge will set an amount that you must pay to get released. Part of your release agreement will include a promise that you will appear in court for all of your scheduled criminal proceedings.

1
Hire a Bail Agent

Contact a bail bondsman as soon as possible.  When calling Texas Outlaw Bail Bonds we will gather as much information as possible in order to better assist you.  We will need the full name of the person in jail, the location of where they are being held, their booking number, and the specific charges of the arrest.

Regardless of the time of day, Texas Outlaws Bail Bonds is on call 24/7 to assist you.  As part of our commitment to customer service,  we will meet you regardless of the time of day. In most cases, we can meet you, in person, at the jail to post your bond.

2
Posting Bail

After the judge sets the amount of your bail at the bail hearing, you will be able to ‘post bail’. Texas Outlaws Bail Bonds offers multiple payment options and online payments through Paypal for your convenience.

We are happy to work with each customer and find solutions that work best for all parties.

3
The Cost of Using A Bondsman

Typically, bail bondsmen charge a 10-20% premium based on the full bond amount. The fees we charge vary greatly based on individual and specific circumstances. Furthermore, the administrative costs in various counties differ, so we are not able to provide a single total amount that could apply to every client.

Due to the nature of being a co-signer of your bail agreement, our fees are non-refundable. Once the premium is paid to Texas Outlaws Bail Bonds, our bail agent will post the bond on your behalf.

Each client’s case and circumstances are evaluated prior to posting bail.

The process is usually straightforward. To get someone released from jail can take a short time or as much as several hours to process.  Often it depends on how crowded the jail and courts are.  At Texas Bail Bonds, we will do everything within our control to lessen the time someone is kept in jail.

4
Once the Bailbond Is Issued

Following your bail hearing, the bail bond is issued for the amount set by the judge during the hearing. You are now ‘being released on your own recognizance. This means that the person arrested understands and agrees to the legal conditions and all the requirements set forth in the bail agreement. You will be bound to this agreement in order to remain out on bail and awaiting your court date.
